HOLIDAY DIY

FULL STORY

This year, my family and I did things a little differently, We had Thanksgiving at my sister and brother-in-law's house. They just moved in, so what better way to break in a new house than have everyone over for a feast!? I wanted to be festive and decorate this year. I did some DIYing as well as used some leftover decor from my sisters wedding this past Summer.

The PUMPKINS & PINECONES

what you'll need:

1. white matte acrylic paint- buy according to size and amount of pumpkins you have.

2. two pain brushes

3. cup/small bowl of lukewarm water

4. paper towels

5. Emlers glue

6. glitter (silver/gold)

7. plastic bags

Instructions:

Before you start, make sure to put down some kind of tarp to protect the area from spilling paint. I painted the base of the pumpkins first and used the stem to hold for support. I used a hair dryer on cold to dry the paint then proceeded to paint the stem.

Once all was dry, I drizzled glue around the stem and a little at the bottom of the stem. I then used a paint brush to spread out the glue to the places I wanted the glitter to stick. Right after I spread out my glue, I poured glitter over. Let it sit and dry. I wouldn't recommend using the blow dryer for this part because you might blow the glitter right off.

For the pinecones, I dabbed glue with a paint brush around the base and sprinkled glitter around. This added a pop to the table. Super easy and simple!
